Lancaster University Tennis club

I am writing to introduce you to Lancaster University Tennis Club (LUTC) a passionate and dedicated club that is committed to creating an inclusive, passionate and competitive environment for all abilities. Our club is more than just a society—we fundraise for charities, provide extra-curricular activities and most of all build friendships between members.

At LUTC we believe in the power of teamwork, perseverance and enjoyment to shape individuals into confident, skilled, and driven individuals where many of the skills are transferrable into life. Over the years, our club has provided countless opportunities for personal and professional growth. From winning Roses, hosting charity events, having members partake in speeches and providing several opportunities every week to play tennis at an affordable rate. Currently, 6 out of the 7 days a week, tennis can be played. Often, players who are just starting out at the end of the year mention that it was their best choice by joining. Similarly with the team, players who were starting to maybe fall out of love with the competitive side, at the end of the year often mention how the team and supportive environment we create reignites the competitive flame!

However, to continue and expand our impact, we need your support. Your contribution would directly aid in purchasing essential equipment, funding travel for Roses, covering excess coaching expenses and allowing us to book affordable court space. With additional resources, we can reach even more individuals, enhance our training programs, achieve new milestones and provide more for the community.

For instance, thanks to the generosity of past supporters, we were able to have a number of indoor sessions which allowed us to train when the weather turned poor. Furthermore, new rackets and balls were bought for the recreational side of tennis which can often be difficult to fund. With your support, we can build on this momentum and create even greater opportunities for our members.

We invite you to join us in making a lasting difference which will directly contribute to the success of our club and the individuals who rely on it. We want to carry on making tennis as accessible as possible, and your help will make an enormous difference.
